VF Corp. is eliminating 380 jobs due to the closing of its apparel decoration operations. This layoffs related to its JanSport Collegiate Licensed Apparel business, which will be winding down business over the coming months.
The business works out of the VF Outdoor facility in Appleton, WI.
The apparel decoration operations supported the Licensed Sports Group (LSG) business and other VF brands. On Tuesday, VF announced that it reached an agreement to sell the LSG business, which includes Majestic Athletic, to Fanatics.
Vanessa McCutchen, public relations, VF, told SGB that the company has no plans to close the VF Outdoor facility in Appleton. She wrote in an e-mail, “It will remain open and will continue to service VF’s Outdoor brands with accounting, finance, credit and customer service functions.”
