Oboz Footwear has created a new marketing team to fuel its brand presence. Two staff members have been promoted to key positions and Oboz has hired Denver, CO-based Cultivator Advertising & Design as the creative branding agency that will guide Oboz’ overarching brand messaging and directives.
Christian Mason has been promoted to vice president of sales & marketing for Oboz. Mason will oversee both all national sales and marketing for Oboz. He joined the company in May 2014 and has managed its independent sales force as well as relationships with key retail accounts. Mason has been instrumental in the ongoing development of Oboz’ diversified dealer base and long-term sales strategies that protect the brand and its valued dealer network for the future.
Cultivator Advertising & Design will help evolve Oboz’ brand platform and new creative vision, with a focus on a long-term strategic plan that feeds projects to be unveiled in 2017, including a new print media campaign, website, go-to-market product launches, packaging and digital content. Cultivator’s brand work spans an extensive portfolio of lifestyle brands including New Belgium Brewing Company, Chipotle, Telluride Tourism, Moots Bicycles, IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association), Beaver Creek Resort and Inspirato Vacation Club, among others.
Steve Lowry has been promoted to become the sales and marketing coordinator at Oboz. Lowry joined Oboz in November 2014 as part of the customer service team. The new position was created to drive Oboz’ sales and marketing messages and encompasses a wide variety of duties and projects, such as coordinating communications with sales teams, managing sales promotions, professional purchase programs, digital marketing management and much more. Lowry will also lead the charge on planning sales meetings and trade shows.
The Oboz marketing team is rounded out by Josh Wise. Wise has been with the company since March 2014 as marketing coordinator & graphic designer. Wise has managed all aspects of Oboz marketing in his tenure, and has played a key role working with Cultivator to launch Oboz’ new brand initiatives.
“With this team, we are poised to greatly expand Oboz’ visibility,” said President and Co-founder John Connelly. “From the big message down to the critical marketing nuts and bolts, we will not only help retailers grow with Oboz but also expand consumer awareness that Oboz is the key outdoor footwear brand they should know.”
