Converse introduced an update to its Essentials Collection, including a limited edition Converse Essentials x Fragment collection.
“We built Converse Essentials to be better with time,” said John Colonna, global VP/GM Apparel & Accessories, Converse. “For example, over the years a deep navy will fade to a light navy; a black will fade to charcoal. And because we use a light-tensile polyester thread against the 100 percent cotton fleece, a beautiful contrast develops between the fabrics.”
That contrast is evident in the limited edition Converse Essentials x Fragment collection, which highlighted the Converse Essentials Apparel launch and the collection’s broader aging potential this past fall.
New for spring 2017 is a short-sleeve crewneck and shorts for men. In addition, the brand is offering new seasonal colorways for both men and women.
The spring 2017 Converse Essentials collection will be available starting February 2 at Converse retail stores, converse.com and select retailers.
