Prince Tennis has re-signed tennis star and French Open finalist Guillermo Coria to an exclusive endorsement deal. Under the agreement, the 22-year-old Argentine will promote and play with Princes Tour NXGraphite racquet, according to Linda Glassel, vice president of marketing for Prince.
“Guillermo Coria is an amazing talent and a tremendous asset to the sport of tennis,” said Glassel. “The skill, dedication and unmatched performance that he delivers in each match are precisely the qualities that personify the Prince brand. We are extremely proud that Guillermo has chosen to play with Prince, and we look forward to working with him in the coming years.”
The worlds No. 2 player, Corias signing comes in the wake of a dominating French Open performance in which he lost just one set prior to losing a grueling five-set championship match. Using the Prince Tour NXGraphite racquet, Coria has won two tournaments and carries a 34-7 record during the 2004 season.
“For years Prince has been a strong supporter of my career,” said Coria. “Not only have racquets like the NXGraphite provided a boost to my game, but the Prince staff has been a big help by creating products that are made for my style of play. Im excited to extend my partnership with Prince.”
Specific terms of the deal were not released.
