Vasque footwear, a manufacturer of backpacking, hiking, insulated and trail running shoes, appointed Joel Lee as international sales manager. Beginning in December, Lee will head up leadership of Vasque’s international distributors and Canadian representatives.
“I have been waiting for a person like Joel to come to Vasque. He brings an in-depth knowledge of our international markets and comes from one of my favorite brands in the industry, Black Diamond,” said George Curleigh, vice president of Vasque. “But mostly I just wanted a new backcountry ski partner.”
With more than 14 years of experience at Black Diamond Equipment, Lee began his career in outdoor specialty retail in Montana as a buyer and store manager.
“I am very excited and honored to be joining such an iconic and well respected American brand as Vasque,” said Lee. “The chance to work with George and his team is truly a great opportunity. As a user I also understand the importance of great products and authentic brands like Vasque that enhance the outdoor experience.”
