Wigwam Mills formed a five-year partnership with the Ice Age Trail Alliance, which creates, protects and supports the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, a 1,000-mile footpath that runs through the heart of Wisconsin.
The Sheboygan, WI-based sock manufacturer will join the Alliance to increase awareness of the need to support land conservancy and sustainable outdoor recreation. The partnership provides additional resources and reach for one of the most visited National Scenic Trails in the U.S.
The Ice Age Trail Alliance promotes participation in and education of the outdoors through its Saunters program. With the goal to educate and improve the physical and mental wellbeing of youth while improving the communities through which the Trail passes, Saunters aims to honor Henry David Thoreau’s statement, “It is a great art to saunter.”
In order to support the Ice Age Trail Alliance as a national resource, Wigwam will partner with retailers to raise awareness and donate a portion of promotional sales to benefit the Trail’s land conservancy and trail maintenance efforts.
