Apex Tactical Specialties, a designer and manufacturer of aftermarket firearms parts, stated that it is relocating from California to a 50,000-square-foot facility in Peoria, AZ.
Co-owners Randy Lee and Scott Folk cited the passage in California of Proposition 63, the Background Checks for Ammunition Purchases and Large-Capacity Ammunition Magazine Ban Initiative, as one of the reasons for the move.
“The company’s relocation to Arizona, and the larger facility, allows Apex to expand both its manufacturing capabilities and its efforts to develop new products for a broader range of firearms,” added a company representative.
The company has already hired an additional four employees, and has plans to increase its staff to more than 50 total employees by the end of 2017.
