Gym Source, a specialty distributor and retailer of fitness equipment, entered into an agreement to purchase all 22 specialty fitness retail stores owned by Scott Egbert — collectively known as The Home Fitness Group. These retail stores are located across five states, primarily on the West Coast and in Chicago.
The closing of the acquisition will take place upon completion of a final agreement of sale, which is expected in early 2017.
Egbert will join the Gym Source management team, led by Richard Miller and Art Hicks, where he will assist in the continued growth of the company, including both organic growth and acquisitions, maintaining Gym Source’s status as one of the leading specialty fitness dealer in the country.
