Big City Mountaineers (BCM), a non-profit that instills critical life skills in under-resourced youth through wilderness mentoring expeditions, added three new members to its board of directors, including Maile Buker, Kevin Hackett and Andrew LeCuyer.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Maile, Kevin and Andrew to the BCM family and to our esteemed board of directors,” said Bryan Martin, executive director of BCM. “It’s an exciting time for our organization, and their combined experiences – inside and outside corporate boardrooms – combined with their love and passion for the outdoors will serve us well.”

Maile Buker is a marketer with years of experience creating consumer demand for brands in the outdoor, retail, footwear and beverage industries. She is currently director of marketing and brand management for Hannaford Supermarkets. Based in Boston, Buker sits on a variety of boards for local non-profits and is also an advisor for Telluride, CO-based Western Rise, an outdoor apparel company.

Kevin Hackett is the vice president of corporate finance for Samsonite International in Boston. With more than two decades of professional finance experience, Hackett has held positions with a variety of companies. He volunteers his skills and time with local and national non-profits, including Junior Achievement of New Hampshire/Boston and Protect Our Winters.

Andrew LeCuyer is the vice president of programming for Dish, where he oversees general entertainment, local broadcast, movie studio and Latino content acquisition. Prior to working at Dish, he worked for a consumer electronics retailer and as a management consultant. LeCuyer lives in Louisville, CO and holds a bachelor of science in engineering from Princeton University and a master’s of business administration from Yale University’s School of Management. He was also commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he achieved the rank of captain.
