Crunch, the health club chain, hit a milestone with the recent sale of its 100th franchise of 2016.
This makes the company one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers, with well over 600 franchises sold in its first six years and 13 new clubs opening this month alone, according to the company.
The franchise portfolio, involving ownership by some of the best known athletes in the world, includes 150 open clubs in 20 states, Puerto Rico and four countries. Crunch is rapidly closing in on approximately 1 million members, a representative claimed.
“Despite being in a very competitive industry, the last six years have been tremendous for our network,” said CEO Ben Midgley. “We have attracted a very high quality group of franchisees and we provide our members a fitness club experience that is far above anything they can get from any other national high value/low price (HVLP) chain.”
Crunch is known for its group fitness programming and classes including BodyWeb with TRX, Zumba, Cardio Tai Box, Yoga Body Sculpt, Fat Burning Pilates and more.
