Collective Licensing International, LLC has entered into a licensing agreement with UFU Inc. to license the Airwalk brand. UFU Inc. will distribute and market Airwalk branded snowboarding gear including Airwalk branded boots, snowboards, bindings, and snow outerwear in Japan. UFU expects to see Airwalk® product on shelves as early as Fall 2004.
“UFU Inc. has a strong cache of niche action sports brands and has demonstrated great success in bringing these brands to the Japanese market,” said Scott Cain, vice president of global licensing for Collective Licensing International. “Airwalk continues to have incredible brand equity in Japan and UFU is the ideal long term license partner to support the continued growth of the Airwalk brand in Japan.”
Collective is in the selection process for a licensing partner in Japan for the Airwalk footwear category.
