Longtime Nike Chief Talent Scout, Michael Leming, reportedly died in a BASE jumping accident in Norway on June 26, 2016, according to a twitter post by Portland Mtn Rescue (@PDXMtnRescue).
Leming had been an integral part of the swoosh company from 2000 through 2015. He was also a board member on Big City Mountaineers, rescue support with Portland Mountain Rescue and an advisory board member with American Foundation for Children with AIDS.
Portland Mtn Rescue reported, “We’re still gathering information on exactly what happened. Condolences and love to all of Michael’s family + many, many friends.”
