This year marks the 40th Anniversary of ski and snowboard enthusiasts largest consumer show, Ski Dazzle. To commemorate the anniversary, Obermeyer President and Snowsport Industries America Board Member Bill Post will present an award on behalf of SIA, honoring Ski Dazzles commitment to the industry. Additionally, Ski Dazzle will recognize Klaus Obermeyer, founder of Sport Obermeyer, with an award for his contributions to the ski industry.
Judy Gray and Jim Foster, owners of Ski Dazzle for the past 25 years, will receive the SIA award. Post states, “For the past 40 years Ski Dazzle has played an important role in educating consumers about the industry, and has helped grow snowsports by building an enormous amount of excitement prior to the season each year.”
Klaus Obermeyer has been a leader in the snowsports industry for the past 56 years. He has brought to the sport many innovations, including the down parka and turtleneck sweater. Above all, Klaus has continuously led his company and industry trends with a positive business style, a commitment to excellence in both product design and relationship building, and genuine passion for snowsports.
Ski Dazzle brings the latest and greatest new snowsport products, national and international resort information, clinics and demonstrations, and ski and snowboard innovations to consumers in southern California. The event takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center November 21-23. The awards ceremony, and a meet and greet with industry leaders will take place Friday, November 21 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Judy Stage. Obermeyer prizes will be given out during that time as well.
