Stio, the mountain lifestyle apparel brand that sells only direct to consumers, said it will move to larger headquarters near to accommodate its growing staff, including two hires named Wednesday.
Liz Barrett joins Stio as marketing manager and John Herskind joins Stio’s graphic design team. The company will move from its current Wilson, WY, location to a new space in Jackson, Wyoming in the first quarter of 2016 to accommodate its growing staff and business.
“As we close out a strong 2015 and look to 2016 and beyond, we anticipate continued strong growth in our e-commerce, catalog and retail businesses,” says Stio founder and CEO Steve Sullivan. “We’ve continued to fuel this growth with the recent addition of highly skilled team members in operations and brand marketing. In addition to these recent personnel moves, our new headquarters will accommodate the expansion of our business. We are stoked to transition into the new space in early 2016.”
On the hiring front, Barrett brings marketing and creative development experience from Remington Outdoor Company, where she served as brand manager for the company’s lifestyle division. Herskind most recently completed freelance creative projects with brands including Toms, ESPN, Pepsi Co., Snowboarder Magazine and Rossignol.
Stio is working with acclaimed Jackson-based architectural firm E/Ye Design and principal architect Nona Yehia in construction of a new 5,500-square-foot facility to house its design/development, marketing, creative services and general operations. An innovative firm, E/Ye is highly regarded for its recent design of an revolutionary urban greenhouse called Vertical Harvest, which is slated to open in downtown Jackson in the spring of 2016.
