Foot Locker Supports Fred Jordan Mission

Foot Locker Inc. on Oct. 1 will supply to more than More than 4,000 impoverished boys and girls at Fred Jordan Missions' 27th Annual “Caring For Kids” Back-To-School Giveaway.

The kids will also get new clothing, backpacks filled with school supplies, In-N-Out burgers and Paul Mitchell hair styles.

Throughout the day, children will star in their own “Red Carpet Runway Fashion Show,” modeling their new athletic shoes, clothing and backpacks.

In the past 27 years, more than 135,000 children have received new shoes, complete school outfits, school supplies and burgers, at the Mission's Back-to-School event, thanks to the generous partnership of Foot Locker, In-N-Out, Paul Mitchell, Knit Works, and other corporations and individuals.

WHAT:

Terrence J, co-anchor of the international news program E! News, and former Foot Locker employee, will kick off the event by escorting the first group of children into the Missions Chapel, which will be transformed into a giant Foot Locker store.

Throughout the day, children will star in their own “Red Carpet Runway Fashion Show,” modeling their new athletic shoes, clothing and backpacks.

More than 130,000 children have received new Foot Locker shoes, complete school outfits, school supplies and food at the Mission’s Back-to-School event in the past 26 years, thanks to the generous partnership of individuals and corporations like Foot Locker, In-N-Out, and others.

Foot Locker Supports Fred Jordan Mission

About 60 Foot Locker associates sorted and organized 4,000 pairs of brand new athletic shoes and socks
for what has become America's largest Back-to-School Giveaway, thanks to
a unique partnership with Fred Jordan Missions & Foot Locker.

On Thursday,
Oct. 3, thousands of underprivileged children from all over
southern California will be given free brand new shoes, new clothes, school
supplies and food to help them get a great start to the new school
year.

In the past 24 years, more than 125,000 children have received new
shoes, clothes, backpacks, hairstyles, personal care kits, and school
supplies valued at well over 30 million dollars.  All the items have
been donated by caring individuals, and companies.
