O.F. Mossberg & Sons Inc. has promoted William (Bill) A. Brown IV to the position of Director of Sales and hired Brian Krouse to its sales team.
Brown will assume responsibility for all aspects of the family-owned and operated firearms manufacturer's distribution sales and conservation business initiatives. Krouse replaces Brown as Mossberg's National Account Manager. Both Brown and Krouse assumed their new roles on June 1, 2015.
Brown, a lifelong hunter and conservationist, has worked in the firearms industry for more than 16 years in various sales, marketing and training positions, joining Mossberg in July, 2011. During his tenure as Mossberg's National Account Manager, Brown developed and implemented successful sales programs and marketing initiatives for key retail accounts. He also forged close relationships with leading advocates for firearm rights and conservation, including the NRA Foundation, Friends of NRA, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Krouse brings more than seven years of industry experience to his new role as National Account Manager. He previously served as a District Sales Manager at Smith & Wesson and managed key retail customers' accounts during his tenure with Andersen Windows. In his new role, Krouse will focus on Mossberg's chain and key retail account businesses, working closely with Mossberg's external sales representatives, The Evans Group.
“Bill repeatedly demonstrated his strength in not only developing, but implementing, sales and marketing plans for our major retail partners, key national accounts and conservation organizations,” stated John MacLellan, VP of Sales and Marketing. “His promotion to Director of Sales will continue to strengthen our distribution chain, incentive programs and service to our key customers.”
“Brian is a great addition to the team,” MacLellan continued. “His focus will be in assisting our customers with managing inventories, training sales employees and implementing strategies to increase their commercial sales.”
Brown will be based at the company's headquarters in North Haven, CT and can be reached at BBrown@mossberg.com. Krouse will be based in Columbia, SC and can be reached at BKrouse@mossberg.com.
