Galvin Green, the maker of golf apparel based in Vaxjo, Sweden, promoted Andrew Creed to president of Galvin Green USA.
Formerly National Sales Manager, Creed will continue to grow the base of devoted Galvin Green customers while expanding the company's domestic operations. This will include opening of a new U.S. headquarters in Avon, CT this July. The sleek, Scandinavian-inspired space will be highlighted by a full-size showroom.
“Andrew has leveraged his passion for golf and our brand to form mutually-beneficial partnerships with many of America's most prominent green grass merchandisers,” says Christian Nilsson, CEO of Galvin Green. “His personal network, business approach and leadership mark him as the ideal person to help steer our business in this key market.”
Creed, who joined Galvin Green upon the company's 2013 entrance into the U.S. market, boasts more than 15 years of diverse sales experience. The former collegiate golfer is a graduate of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. An active supporter of The First Tee of Connecticut, he has also served as an instructor at the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy.
Based in Sweden, Galvin Green is a pure golf brand that developed the sport's first apparel layering system – the Multi-Layer Concept – more than a decade ago. Available for purchase at better golf-specialty retail shops in more than 20 countries, the Galvin Green collection features premium, high-performance outerwear, tops, bottoms and accessories for men, women and juniors.
The line is worn in competition by scores of leading Tour players, including David Lynn (European Tour), Lucas Bjerregaard (European Tour) and Caroline Masson (LPGA Tour).
