Hydro Flask is donating $100,000 to three Bend, Oregon-based nonprofit organizations. The donation aims to give back to the local community that helped Hydro Flask become the business it is today. Recipients include Neighbor Impact Head Start, Oregon Adaptive Sports, and Oregon Natural Desert Association.

Charities were chosen because of the positive impact each has within the Central Oregon community and the successful track records of converting donation dollars into community programs.

Neighbor Impact serves more than one in four (55,000+) Central Oregon residents annually. It is the lead agency for the area’s homeless services, Head Start Early Childhood Education, emergency food programs, home ownership, and self-help programs for low socio-economic workers. Hydro Flask’s $37,500 donation will help provide an additional school bus for the Head Start program, helping Central Oregon’s local children and families receive the education and services they need. Additionally, the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Foundation in Bend will automatically match the donation for Head Start, further maximizing efforts.

Oregon Adaptive Sports provides safe and affordable recreation to people with disabilities throughout the state of Oregon. The $35,000 donation will contribute $20,000 to equipment, $7,500 thousand to scholarships, and $7,500 to Wounded Warriors HooDoo. The nature of OAS, with its goals of taking people outdoors and recreating, perfectly aligns with the Hydro Flask brand and company values.

Based in Bend, the Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) is committed to protecting, defending and restoring the high deserts of Oregon. The organization works to ensure that high desert beauty, biological significance, cultural values, and the recreational opportunities offered within these spaces are available to future generations. Hydro Flask will donate $27,500 to ONDA toward protecting, restoring and defending the areas of Central Oregon ($9,167), John Day ($9,167), and the Owyhee Canyonlands ($9,166).

“At the very core of Hydro Flask’s values is caring about each other and our community. Giving back is fundamental to what we do, who we are, and the community in which we live and do business,” said Hydro Flask CEO Scott Allan. “We are proud to support the people and causes that enrich our communities and protect the pristine environment around us.”
