Mavic Inc. will relocate from Haverhill, MA to Ogden, UT next summer to fully integrate with Amer Sports Winter and Outdoor (AWSO) Americas.

The move, which will consummate an integration started in July, will be completed by the end of 2015.  Mavic and AWSO will begin implementing a detailed transition plan next month to ensure minimal disruption in service to dealers and customers.

Mavic Inc. General Manager Phillip Sporidis said that the relocation was a difficult decision given his staff’s deep ties to New England.

Their commitment to the brand and passion for ‘Le Sang Jaune has been an important part of the companys history, Sporidis said. This spirit will continue to define the brands future in our ongoing pursuit to provide better value and improved service to our customers and their consumers as their trusted partner in cycling.

Mavic Marketing Director Chad Moore said that moving forward, Mavic will be more streamlined and better able to serve its U.S. dealers for before and after the sale.

“This will allow us to put more effort into what has made Mavic an iconic and trusted brand-dealer support, product development, consumer events and ultimately, getting out there with our fans. We celebrated 125 years this year and we are looking forward to some excitement in 2015 and beyond.
