For the month of October, Shoe Carnival supported breast cancer awareness by selling pink wristbands and donating the proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Shoe Carnival was able to raise over $154,000 in donations.
The pink wristbands were sold for $1.00 a piece.
The BCRFs mission is to prevent breast cancer and search for a cure through promoting and funding the most cutting-edge research in the field.
The campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness was held at over 389 domestic retail locations. This is the second year Shoe Carnival has participated, and after the success of the first two years, they plan to continue on an annual basis.
Families are the core of our business, they are the people we serve and the people that have helped us grow into who we are; Breast Cancer touches so many of those families lives, said Shoe Carnival CEO Cliff Sifford. We are thrilled our customers found this to be a worthy cause and that their donations helped to make this year a greater success than last year.
Shoe Carnival has more than 399 stores in 32 states and Puerto Rico.
