ARES Defense Systems announces the appointment of Ken Flood as director of sales.
“Ken brings to our organization extensive commercial sales expertise in the firearms industry. He understands what it takes to establish a sales organization that supports the distribution channels for this industry as well as a unique understanding of the end users' specific needs from a product standpoint,” said Geoffrey Herring, president of ARES Defense. “We are confident Ken will help drive our go-to-market initiatives for the ARES brand.
Prior to joining ARES Defense, Flood was national sales manager for AO Precision where he worked closely with manufacturers across the industry expanding market share and business. Before that he spent six years with McLean, Va.-based FNH USA serving as national sales manager for commercial and law enforcement sales and as deputy director of sales.
Flood also worked as a manufacturer's rep for Bruce Odle and Associates where he represented FNH USA, Browning Arms, Winchester Repeating Arms, Nikon and EOTech, among other brands. His outdoor market experience also includes an ownership position with Baltoro Mountain Outfitters, an outdoor store in Columbia, MO.
An avid competitive shooter, Flood serves as match director for the Midwest Three-Gun Championships, now in its 10th year, and the Brownell's U.S. Amateur & Junior Three-Gun National Championship (A3G) event- started in 2013. Ken has been shooting competitively for 25 years and has extensive firearms manufacturing knowledge and experience.
