Gaiam Inc. has closed its store on Pearl St. in its home town of Boulder, CO, according to the Boulder Camera, the town's daily newspaper.
A sign on the door of the 2,700-square-foot storeread “CLOSED” and provided the company's corporate phone number for any questions, the Boulder Camera reported. Gaiam had opened the store in downtown Boulder in 2011.
The news comes as Gaiam divests several businesses and refocuses on its core yoga and fitness business. In its fourth quarter conference call last week, Gaiam's CEO Lynn Powers disclosed the company was even evaluting ways to monetize the value of its 13-acre headquarters campus.
