Kohl's became the latest department store chain to announced plans to open its doors at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, kicking off its Black Friday event earlier than ever. Macy's and JC Penney announced similar moves.
Kohl’s will open its stores will be open for 28 hours straight from 8 p.m. Thursday, November 28 through midnight Friday nationwide.
“As many customers are eager to get a jumpstart on their shopping, we are opening our stores at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day as a convenience to our customers who want to make Kohl’s their first stop.”
“Shopping over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend has become a much-anticipated tradition enjoyed with friends and family,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief customer officer. “As many customers are eager to get a jumpstart on their shopping, we are opening our stores at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day as a convenience to our customers who want to make Kohl’s their first stop.”
