The PBA has announced a new three-year agreement with High 5 Gear to become the official PBA Tour bowling jersey manufacturer, replacing Gemini Custom Apparel.

High 5 Gear, a sports apparel company based in Hartland, WI, will be the exclusive dye-sublimated jersey in PBA competition, provide custom-designed jerseys for 60 of the PBA Tour's top players, become the official jersey of the PBA League outfitting all eight teams, and official jersey of the Chris Paul PBA League All-Stars event.

“High 5 Gear is thrilled to be the official jersey of the PBA,” said High 5 Gear President Todd Molbeck. “Bowling has always been the cornerstone of High 5 Gear's success and we view our partnership with the PBA as the pinnacle of that success. We look forward to working with the PBA and continuing to fill a void in bowling that has long been ignored – cool bowling clothes.”

Bowling fans will also be able to purchase replica jerseys like those worn by their favorite PBA players through High 5, which will also have the rights to display the logos of PBA product registered partners.

“High 5 is passionate about bowling and we look forward to continue to make the sport better through our partnership,” said PBA Commissioner Tom Clark. “We thank Gemini for the last five years being the official PBA jersey. Together, the PBA and Gemini changed the way professional bowling looks for the better with dye-sublimated jerseys, enhanced sponsor recognition and allowing players to express themselves through designs. With High 5 Gear, we will build on that foundation and get more bowlers of all skill levels around the world looking sharp.”

While the High 5 Gear agreement becomes effective immediately, making High 5 the only dye-sublimated jersey permitted in PBA competition, High 5 has agreed to allow PBA players to wear Gemini jerseys in non-TV PBA competition through August 30, 2014. Both High 5 and Gemini will be permitted on this Saturday's Lipton Bowling's U.S. Open telecast on ESPN.

The High 5 Gear PBA jerseys will be available in assorted sizes and styles for $89 each. Bowlers also can order their own custom or semi-custom jersey designs for their teams, or as individuals, for prices as low as $84.95 For information on High 5's complete line of products, including PBA replica jerseys, go to www.high5gear.com

Molbeck says his company looks forward to working with the PBA and more bowlers worldwide.

“We are small enough to give you personal service, but big enough to offer you top quality shirts and other unique products delivered on a timely basis at a competitive price,” Molbeck said.
