RecoFit Compression Gear, a Boulder-based manufacturer of athletic compression products, has begun including samples from fellow Boulder based outdoor companies in its shipments to retailers in a bid to promote its authenticty.
In an effort to stand out from its larger corporate competitors, independently-owned RecoFit is including samples of other Boulder products in its shipments to retailers and online orders.
I want our customers to anticipate the arrival of our product, instead of it being just another box of compression gear coming to the store, said RecoFit owner, Susan Eastman Walton. I got this idea to include another Boulder-born product sample in each order we ship to reinforce that Boulder knows health and fitness and that our products ‘walk the talk. And hopefully the shops would come to think, ‘What did RecoFit send us this time?
Eastman Walton approached several other companies that exemplify this Boulder branding and they quickly agreed to participate: Breeze Bars, Bulumu Granola, NovAuroras Weekend Warrior Balm and Olomomo Nuts.

Breeze Bars inventor Breeze Brown, who also races cyclocross and triathlon. added, This partnership has a playful take on marketing, it fits Boulder. Perhaps these RecoFit customers, after being introduced to our products, will carry us, too.
