Sports South, L.L.C., a leading distributor of arms, ammunition and accessories, has named Walter Frederick as president. Frederick previously served as executive vice president.
“Walter’s intellect, competence and character are well known to our industry as his involvement and leadership go back decades,” said Skipper Dickson, chairman and chief executive officer of Sports South. “Walter has been at my side for 40 years and his counsel, hard work, and good humor have been invaluable in the growth and prosperity of this company, every step of the way.”
In addition, Sports South announced the addition of Markham A. Dickson, III (Tripper) to the company. Dickson, III represents the 5th generation of the Dickson family that has continuously owned and managed the companies for over 100 years. He holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and recently graduated from University of Virginia, earning a MBA.
