Scarpa North America added new sales representation in the South-Central territory. Based near Austin, Texas, The Horton Company will represent the Scarpa brand in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas, effective immediately.
Founders Jerry and Lois Horton are longtime outdoor industry veterans, working as sales representatives in the South-Central territory for 20 years. Prior to that Jerry spent 15 years in outdoor specialty retail and five years in management, also in the outdoor industry. The Horton Company also represents Outdoor Research, Carve Designs, GSI, McNett, Nite-Ize, Haiku and Bridgedale.
“We feel extremely fortunate to add Jerry and Lois to the Scarpa sales team,” said Mark Mathews, Scarpa North America Director of Sales. “They are both very experienced outdoor professionals, and bring a diverse background with them, including outdoor footwear and climbing sales experience. We look forward to working with the Hortons and the specialty dealers in their territory.”
