Seattle Bike Supply of Kent, WA is voluntarily recalling about 200 Redline D640 bicycles imported from China because the head tube can separate from the frame, causing the rider to lose conrol and fall.

The defect poses a risk of serious injury. Seattle Bikes is aware of eight reports of head tubes separating from the frame, including four reports of minor scrapes and cuts.
The bicycles have black, aluminum frames and were sold at bicycle specialty stores nationwide from December 2007 to May 2010 for about $900. “REDLINE” is written down the frame's tube. The model number is written on the frame's top tube. For additional information, contact Redline Bicycles at 1-800-283-2453.
