The Oberalp Group, which owns Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca, Wild Country, and Evolv, has added Paul Gerten and his firm Gerten Outdoors to represent Salewa and Evolv in its Midwest territory.
Gerten is a longtime sales representative who has worked in the outdoor industry for two decades, and founded Gerten Outdoors in 2005 in Minnetonka, MN. The firm has six employees and adds Salewa and Evolv to a client list of leading outdoor brands that also includes Rab, BioLite, Grand Trunk, Nemo, and others. Gerten also reportedly works with face to face as a teacher and wilderness program facilitator to connect at-risk youth to the geography and history of the wild places in the Midwest.
“I am excited to get started with Salewa and Evolv,” Gerten said. “Salewa has a fresh aesthetic coupled with a reputation for quality construction, and I see a lot of blue sky as we move past the post COVID and the PFAS transition. We’ve also had an incredibly positive response to Evolv from our gyms and guides, and I expect a fast-growing presence with Evolv. I look forward to hitting the road with both brands.”
Gerten and his team will represent Salewa and Evolv in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas and the UP of Michigan.
“Paul and his team have the passion, skills, and relationships we believe are imperative for Salewa and Evolv to thrive in the Midwest,” said Loren Morshead, sales and marketing director for North America, The Oberalp Group. “We are thrilled to kick off our FW25 cycle with an addition of their caliber.”
