Puma signed Tyrese Haliburton, the NBA Indiana Pacers point guard, to a multi-year shoe deal that will also see him as the brand’s “face” in basketball. In 2022, when he was a rookie, he signed with Nike.
The 24-year-old earned an All-Star selection in each of the last two NBA seasons and was the 2024 NBA assists leader. He won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Puma returned to basketball in 2018. Its highest-profile player has been the Charlotte Hornets Point Guard LaMelo Ball. The fourth installment of his signature Puma shoe was released last month.
Portland Trail Blazers Point Guard Scoot Henderson signed as a rookie with Puma last year. He has two signature basketball shoes with the brand.
Puma’s other NBA ambassadors include Kyle Kuzma, R.J. Barrett, Michael Porter, Jr. and Marcus Smart. The brand also sponsors two WNBA players, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Breanna Stewart.
