The latest collection of hi-tech golf apparel from Galvin Green includes rain gear made with a waterproof PFC-free fabric. The new Part Two range of waterproof jackets and pants is spearheaded by four pieces made with Pertex Shield stretch fabric using a three-layer construction, including the brand’s “stretchiest” jackets and the Ames and Amy for men and women.
The brand also offers jackets and pants made with Gore-Tex fabrics in an extended Dryvr waterproof collection of 21 garments for men, women and juniors in multiple sizes, supported by layering pieces to protect against varying weather conditions.
“We’ve been a pioneer in golf waterproofs for more than 30 years, and this marks another landmark innovation in the sector,” said CEO Nicholai Stein. “Working closely with Pertex and through rigorous testing, we’ve ensured the advanced fabric performs to our exceptionally high standards and are delighted to welcome it into our market-leading Dryvr product range,” he added.
Introduced as part of a drive towards greater environmental responsibility as outlined in the company’s recent Sustainability Review, the Bluesign-approved Pertex Shield Stretch fabric is made with a Hydrophilic polyurethane membrane that protects the wearer from the rain and disperses surface water. Its lightweight nature and stretch properties are an option for avid golfers seeking 100 percent waterproof and windproof protection without hindering their swing.
The men’s Dryvr range includes ten waterproof jackets and three pants in sizes up to 5XL. Women golfers can choose from three waterproof jackets in sizes up to XXL, plus two pairs of pants. The junior collection is bolstered with the addition of the Golf Green and Blue/Navy colors on the Robert Gore-Tex jacket. The new Rico Insula hoodie and DNA print Rocco shirt in Ventil8 Plus fabric are the other new garments aimed at golfers ages 9 to 15.
