DTLR, the lifestyle retailer with 250 stores in 21 states, launched a nationwide back-to-school campaign to give kids the essential school supplies they need for a successful school year.
This year’s campaign continues DTLR’s tradition of community support, impacting thousands of kids by providing backpacks, school supplies, free haircuts, and essential online safety education.
DTLR will distribute 1,350 book bags and provide hundreds of free haircuts at pop-up barbershops in various DTLR stores. These combined efforts aim to help kids feel prepared and confident as they return to schools nationwide in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami, Dallas, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Richmond, Charlotte, and Baltimore.
“DTLR’s commitment to giving back to the community is unwavering, and we’re honored to provide essential support to address the ongoing needs of local youth and their families nationwide,” said Tremayne Lipscomb, Sr., community outreach director at DTLR. “We believe in preparing students not only physically with supplies and grooming efforts but also mentally, through initiatives that promote online safety and mental health awareness.”
Highlights of the 2024 Back to School Campaign include:
- DTLR distributed over 1,350 backpacks filled with essential school supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, binders, and more. The retailer also collaborated with local partners to collect and donate gently used shoes and uniforms to give to kids who need it most.
- DTLR will give away over 2000 essential items to kids, including bookbags and uniforms.
