Amherst, Mass. (July 9, 2024) – OrthoLite, the global leader of branded, high performance, comfort footwear solutions, is honored to accept the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance for its X40, Ultra and 0.11 Originals insoles. According to APMA, this honor is granted to products found to promote good foot health. The Seal of Acceptance is awarded to shoes, socks, insoles, materials, and equipment.
Founded over 27 years ago by Glenn Barrett, OrthoLite now partners with more than 550 of the world’s leading footwear brands who trust OrthoLite to elevate the comfort and performance of their shoes. With six owned manufacturing facilities located across the world where footwear is produced, OrthoLite is a trusted partner to its growing customer base with a stalwart commitment to more responsible manufacturing, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and operational excellence.
In founding OrthoLite, Barrett revolutionized footwear from the inside out. OrthoLite has never strayed from its focus on comfort and performance underfoot. OrthoLite insoles ensure a cooler, drier, and healthier interior environment inside of the shoe with its market leading insole foam technologies. OrthoLite’s global team of 3,100 people work to lessen the impact the product and manufacturing have on the environment full-time, on-site in OrthoLite’s owned manufacturing facilities. What’s more, OrthoLite has, since day one, incorporated a minimum of 5% recycled outsole rubber waste material in each and every insole.
OrthoLite’s largest market is performance, including running, athletic and technical outdoor footwear. The brand also continues to grow brand partners in the fashion, luxury, workwear/safety and more casual footwear categories.
“OrthoLite is the first point of contact between the shoe and the person wearing the shoe. It is OrthoLite’s insoles that make the biggest impact on the consumer in terms of the comfort of the shoe. This is a responsibility that we take very seriously to deliver on as it is what frames the consumers’ experience of a purchase from their favorite footwear brands,” explains Barrett, founder and CEO of OrthoLite. “We are incredibly honored to be recognized by APMA for the comfort and performance that our X40, Ultra, and 0.11 Originals insoles deliver.”
