Winchester Ammunition presented the 2009 Distributor of the Year Award to Jerry’s Sports Center, headquartered in Forest City, PA, during the 2010 SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
Each year, Winchester Ammunition recognizes a distributor who sets a high standard of service to dealers and loyalty and support to Winchester Ammunition. Jerry’s Sports Center has exemplified these high standards in 2009 and for many years.
Jerry’s opened for business as a regional distributor in Pennsylvania over 50 years ago and has added four additional warehouses through acquisition over the past 20 years. Jerry’s is one of the largest hunting and shooting distributors in the country today with the following warehouses: Jerry’s Sports Center in Forest City, PA, Outdoor Sports headquartered in Dayton, OH, Simmons Gun Specialties in Spring Hill, KS, Jerry’s Sports Center N. E. in Newington, CT and Bonitz Brothers in Harrisburg, PA.
“It’s hard to express in words what this award means, because it’s more than just an award. It’s loyalty, hard work and a business relationship that has grown and strengthened since we first began,” said Berne Ziomek, CEO of Jerry’s Sports Center. “Most people talk about the importance of teamwork, but don’t seem to practice it.
