Etonic Worldwide named industry veteran
Kent Wheeler as director of sales and marketing for its golf division.
Prior to joining Etonic, Wheeler was director of sales for Nickent. He
also held sales management positions within the golf division of Mizuno
USA and Srixon Sports USA.
While at Mizuno and Srixon, Wheeler had an
exceptional sales record with double digit growth in several
distribution channels, according to Etonic's statement.
As director of sales and marketing, Wheeler will oversee the
Etonic sales force and the development and implementation of Etonic's
growth strategies in golf footwear and gloves.
“Kent will be an outstanding addition to our golf division,” said Tom
Elwell, CEO, Etonic Worldwide. “His industry knowledge combined with
his leadership and business skills will be a tremendous asset to Etonic
and our customers during these challenging times. Kent will be an
instrumental part of continuing to grow the Etonic footwear and glove
business now and in the future.”
“I am very excited to be joining the Etonic Golf team,” Wheeler said.
“Etonic has a long heritage in the footwear business and not so long
ago was one of the top two golf shoe companies in the industry.
Consumers respect the brand and enjoy wearing the product. I look
forward to working with the sales organization to expand our
distribution, making it easier for consumers to purchase our footwear
and gloves.”
Etonic will be attending the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show, January 28-30
at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Etonic will be
in room W207-A.
