Performance cycling products brand Stan’s appointed Jeff Lockwood as director of global marketing, leading brand strategy and identity, product, channel and performance marketing, communications and public relations.
“I’ve long been a believer in, and user of, Stan’s products since the brand launched nearly 25 years ago – I get it. Leading and expanding the company’s marketing and branding efforts is a great opportunity I very much look forward to,” explained Lockwood.
Lockwood arrives at Stan’s in State College, PA after a seven-year stretch as international marketing manager for bike and component brand Ritchey in Belgium. “Jeff brings extensive industry experience, an organized and creative approach to marketing and branding, and a proven track record with some storied brands. I am thrilled to welcome Jeff to the team, and I look forward to his contributions in all the exciting things we have going on this year and for the foreseeable future,” said Mike Bush, president of Stan’s.
Lockwood began his career in the bike world at Dirt Rag mountain bike magazine. He later worked several years in the industry as a marketing and branding consultant, as well as an editor and writer for various media outlets worldwide. At various points he’s worked for, or collaborated with, Pivot Cycles/BH Bikes USA, Bontrager and others. Lockwood also operated a boutique marketing and web design agency catering mostly to brands in the cycling space.
