With the expansion of its Endless Promise Collection in 2024, focused on designing repairable, resellable and recyclable gear when it reaches its end-of-life, Nemo partnered with Out&Back Outdoor to offer customers a trade-in option.
“Nemo is excited to launch its partnership with Out&Back,” said Theresa McKenney, Nemo’s director of Sustainability. “Our customers will now be able to turn in more gear from their closets for cash or a Nemo gift card, and Out&Back keeps good products out of the landfill, providing high-quality used gear at accessible prices.”
After navigating to the trade-in site here, customers answer several questions about their gear and receive a trade-in offer from Out&Back with a prepaid shipping label. Once the company receives the gear, the team assesses the product(s), and, in return, the customer receives a Nemo gift card, Venmo or Paypal payment. Customers can also trade non-Nemo gear using the program, upcycling multiple pieces and earning a larger reward.
“We’re excited to be partnering with a brand so deeply invested in sustainability and innovation,” said Barruch Ben-Zekry, founder and CEO of Out&Back. “Nemo designs durable, top-quality gear, making them the perfect partner to help scale and democratize circular solutions to the outdoor industry.”
