Soleta Golf Club, the new luxury golf and lifestyle community slated for the Sarasota/Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch markets, hired Mark Rummings as General Manager.

Most recently, Rummings worked at The Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Bradenton as director of golf. He started his career as a golf pro with David Leadbetter, where he worked as a senior certified instructor before transitioning to business manager at the IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy.

“Soleta Golf Club welcomes Mark to the team as General Manager,” said Charles Duff, managing partner. “He has many years of experience in the golf business, as well as managing unique golf facilities and amenities. These attributes will help us bring our vision of the luxury golf and village concept to life here at Soleta.”

“I am very excited to be reuniting with David Leadbetter, as well as working with Nick Price, to bring their golf course and practice facility visions together and create a property like no other in the area,” said Rummings. “Soleta is going to be a truly special place to live and golf.”

Among his honors for excellence, Rummings was recognized with the 2021 Marriott Golf Property of the Year award at The Ritz-Carlton Members Club, Bradenton, FL. He was also named the North Florida PGA Teacher of the Year in 2020 and 2014, and he received the PGA Southwest Chapter Patriot Awards in 2015 and 2016.

Cummings was a scholarship golfer at Florida’s Webber International University, earning a degree in marketing and an associate’s degree in Finance. He remains an active competitive golfer and played in PGA Tour events and five PGA Pro National Championships. He is a past winner of the North Florida PGA Championship.
