Paramount Apparel International rebranded itself and introduced Imperial as its new corporate name. Paramount acquired the Imperial golf headwear brand in late 2012. This change reflects its commitment to the Imperial flagship brand.
“Imperial represents a natural progression for our company, allowing us to celebrate our heritage while embracing our vision for the future,” said Todd Johnson, CEO of Imperial. “This rebranding signifies our evolution from being solely a manufacturer to becoming a significant consumer and trade brand known for our exquisite product, innovative solutions, exceptional customer service, and unwavering commitment to excellence.”
Paramount acquired the Imperial brand in late 2012, then based in the Denver, CO area since 1916. It closed the facility in 2013 and moved all operations to Bourbon, MO, where the company is headquartered.
Over the past ten years, the Imperial brand has grown in several channels, including the green grass golf market. Golf partnerships and affiliations include the PGA of America, PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, United States Golf Association, and American Junior Golf Association. Imperial also has manufacturing and licensing relationships with Nike, Peter Millar, Tommy Hilfiger, Vans, Adidas, and other global brands.
Imperial has been voted the No. 1 headwear brand for private and resort golf facilities for six consecutive years by the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) and reported as the “No. 1 headwear brand in the combined on and off-course retail golf channels” by Golf Datatech.
