Oakley, Inc. today launched of OakleyVault.com, a new Web site focusing on vintage Oakley styles and discontinued products ranging from sports performance innovations to lifestyle designs.
“We receive countless requests for discontinued designs, and OakleyVault.com will give customers a chance to get their hands on some of these sought-after items,” said Colin Baden, president of Oakley. “Our main Web site and numerous retail locations will continue to serve core fans and followers who want the newest designs. The Oakley Vault Web site will complement these venues by offering discontinued items. Discount pricing will provide attractive entry points for customers who are new to the brand, and have yet to discover the true value of the world's best technologies,” Baden concluded.
The Oakley Vault Web site will have a phased launch that begins with select apparel, footwear and accessories from the company's past product roster. The addition of eyewear products is currently scheduled for early Fall. The company also plans to add the Oakley Custom Program (OCP) to the new Web site, giving customers the ability to design sunglasses by creating their own combinations of frame components and colors. This program is currently active at Oakley.com, and the extension to OakleyVault.com will focus on discontinued styles.
Promotions for the new Web site include a series of contests called “BREACH THE VAULT.” The first promotion kicking off the launch of the Web site rewards the first 100 orders placed on OakleyVault.com will receive a free pair of Oakley Hijinx sunglasses.
