KMD Brands Limited, the parent of the Kathmandu, Rip Curl and Oboz brands, reported that Group Chief Financial Officer Chris Kinraid had given notice of his resignation, effective December 2023, to become the CEO with another NZX-listed company.
“The past nine years with KMD Brands has been amazing,” Kinraid said. “I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside a great team that’s transformed the business into the Group of global brands it is today. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved, and I leave the Group in a strong position to take advantage of the many global growth opportunities. I look forward to seeing the momentum continue. I would like to personally thank Michael Daly for his support and guidance over the past three years.”
KMD Brands Group CEO and Managing Director Michael Daly said, “We thank Chris for his significant contribution to the Group, including his role in the growth of the Kathmandu brand and, more recently, the acquisitions of the Oboz and Rip Curl brands. While we will be sad to see Chris leave, we wish him the very best in his new role as a chief executive officer”.
Kinraid will continue as Group CFO until the end of the calendar year. The process for appointing a replacement is underway, and KMD Brands will provide a market update in due course.
