Nocs Provisions, maker of binoculars, monoculars and accessories, launched the Western Tanager Collection, in limited edition, including the Zoom Tube monocular, the brand’s three waterproof binoculars—Standard Issue, Field Issue and Pro Issue—and a limited edition color across Nocs full lineup.

The Western Tanager bird is found in the Western U.S. and Canada in coniferous forests and the high mountains with a bright yellow body, orange and red head and black wings. Each piece of the new collection is detailed in these colors. The Zoom Tube is a warm yellow with pops of orange and red. The Standard Issue is a red and orange split-tone colorway with black eye cups. The Field Issue is orange with red eye cups and an oversized yellow focus wheel, and the Pro Issue is deep red with black eye cups and a pop of yellow with an orange focus wheel.

  • The Zoom Tube monocular is lightweight, small enough to pack, with a wide field of view (384ft at 1000 yds/7.3º) while maintaining a close focus of 2M (7ft) for viewing more minor details, and is water-resistant.
  • The Standard Issue 8×25 waterproof binoculars with multi-coated lenses and BaK4 roof prisms are waterproof (IPX7 certified) and fog proof.
  • The new Field Issue integrates premium optical technology from the brand’s Pro Issue model while maintaining a compact profile. Featuring HiFi multi-coated lenses and a BaK4 Prism, it provides a wide viewing experience, and the oversized focus wheel offers central focusing and visual adjustments from 9.3ft to infinity. Waterproof and fog proof (IPX7 rating), the Field Issue is submersible in up to three feet of water and nitrogen sealed to prevent internal condensation.
  • The Pro Issue is Nocs’ premium binocular with a wide field of view (429ft at 1000yd for 8x model) that resolves to the edges of the field. The Pro Issues is phase coated with BaK4 roof prisms with a multi-coated eight-piece lens assembly, resulting in a bright, wide, color-correct image with high contrast and minimal chromatic aberration. Housed in medical-grade construction, the Pro Issue is waterproof (IPx7) and fog proof (O-ring sealed with nitrogen), with multi-stop twist-up eyecups and a central focusing system.

Nocs recently launched the Interesting Bird Twill Bucket Hat, made from 100 percent organic cotton twill featuring stitched embroidery artwork. The Western Tanager bird is highlighted in the collection with similar pops of orange, yellow and black.
