Northwest River Supplies (NRS) launched its “NRS Retailer” trade event rolling out a new and updated 2024 product line this week with its “Reunion Tour”. NRS aims with the venue to reconnect with the paddlesports industry through a series of city stops.

The NRS Retailer tour will occur in five cities over five weeks as follows:

  • April 17 to 20: Bozeman, MT
  • April 25 to 28: Vancouver, WA
  • May 3 to 5: Denver, CO
  • May 10 to 12: Brighton, MI
  • May 17 to 19: Greenville, SC

“This is as grassroots as it gets,” said NRS Chief Marketing Officer Mark Deming. “We’re loading up a truck, driving to central locations around the country, renting houses in each location, and inviting our dealer partners into our living room.” 

Deming said several factors contributed to NRS’s decision to launch the tour— the pandemic, inflation, retail staffing shortages, and a fragmented trade show landscape, have limited the brand’s ability to gather with its dealer network in recent years. 

“We are working with other leaders in the paddlesports industry to find a long-term solution for bringing retailers and vendors together,” said Deming. “In the meantime, we have to get creative. For us, this tour is about making time for real, genuine conversations and connections.”
