Opinel USA collaborated with Monbento to create a limited-edition, Made In France, On-the-Go Meal Kit offering a sustainable foodware solution.
Opinel’s Picnic+ Set eliminates disposable cutlery using the brand’s No.08 Folding Knife with an interchangeable fork and spoon inserts that slide into the handle and lock in place with a Virobloc safety ring.
For this collaboration, the Opinel No.08 Stainless Steel Folding Knife features a hornbeam handle with a limited-edition topographic design, a nod to the mountainous regions where the companies are headquartered, on the handle with mustard yellow accents. The set also features a microfiber napkin/carrying case in anthracite and mustard.
Monbento’s MB Original Bento Lunch Box features two tiered airtight compartments, each holding 16.9 fl oz. As with the Opinel No.08 Folding Knife, a topographic design is on the lunch box lid. It is made with PBT, a recyclable plastic that is dishwasher and microwave-safe.
The kit includes the following:
- Monbento MB Original Outdoor Lunch Box with two airtight containers (34 fl oz capacity);
- Opinel Picnic+ Cutlery Set (fork and spoon attachments, microfiber napkin/carrying case); and
- Opinel Limited-Edition No.08 Stainless Steel Folding Knife.
