Hillerich & Bradsby Co., the parent of Louisville Slugger, has
signed sponsorship deals with three top European tennis players for its
Bionic Tennis Gloves. ATP singles player Marc IJzerman and doubles
partners Jacco Eltingh and Paul Haarhuis have agreed to play wearing
the gloves.

Eltingh and Haarhuis have won five Grand Slam men’s doubles events and
have been ranked as the world’s top doubles players, according to a
statement.

The agreements are part of H&B’s effort to expand its growing
tennis category to the European tennis market. Bionic Gloves were
developed by orthopedic hand surgeon Dr. Jim Kleinert to promote
comfort and relieve hand fatigue and calluses. They are made for
gardening and numerous sports activities such as baseball, golf,
driving and equestrian sports.
