Sports Basement reported it opened its newest store in Fountain Valley CA in the former Fry building. Sports Basement has eleven other locations in Northern California. The new store is the retailer’s first in Southern California.
The 80,000-square-foot space is located off the 405 Freeway and displays a wide selection of outdoor gear for ski and snowboarding, mountain, road and e-bikes, running shoes, surf and paddle gear, camping equipment, fitness apparel, and sporting goods. The Orange County location also offers rentals for ski and snowboarding, bikes and surf and includes full-service bike and snow shops.
Sports Basement is known for its no-charge to the community event space policy. Its Basementeer loyalty program gives members 10 percent off every purchase and gives 10 percent of profits back to local nonprofits and schools.
