SmartWool Corporation has chosen Roland Salazar as 2008 SmartWool Sales Rep of the Year.


“Roland is a true business leader. He has developed great relationships with both the SmartWool dealer services team and our corporate support team,” stated Mark Satkiewicz, SmartWool VP of sales. “He is recognized as a strategic thinker who wants to grow the business using a thoughtful, strategic method that aligns with the SmartWool brand image.”


Roland has been representing SmartWool for 11 years. He is an associate with Alpert, Tebrich & Associates and focuses primarily on Northern California. The Alpert Tebrich group covers the Southwest region, including California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii. In the last year, Roland’s business growth has outpaced the growth of others in his agency and SmartWool’s corporate growth overall.


Awarded annually at the Outdoor Retailer winter market show, the SmartWool Rep of the Year Award is an opportunity for SmartWool to say thanks to sales representatives who always produce high performance work and high performance results. Nominations are received from SmartWool employees as well as others on the company’s sales force. The award is based on five criteria: growth, strategic planning and brand support, projection management and business excellence, communication and teamwork.
