Stio, headquartered in Jackson, WY, expanded its product line by launching its Colter Footwear Collection, featuring six styles designed for “functional comfort, breathable warmth and casual style.”
“When creating the line, we had one main goal in mind. We wanted to deliver a collection authentic to our mountain life. Each style needed the ease of a sneaker, comfort of a slipper, and the cold weather utility of a winter boot,” said Stio Chief Product Officer Kelly Hill Shuptrine. “We are incredibly pleased with the final product. The entire collection features the warmth, durability and traction needed to withstand winters in the Tetons, yet in a classic, casual style that can be worn while heading out for drinks with friends.”
The collection combines a premium, waterproofed leather outer with a looped poly wool blend lining and insulation for added comfort and warmth. Each style also features a lightweight, streamlined outsole with slip-tested traction and a partially bio-based midsole for extra support and cushioning with a lighter environmental footprint.
“In the mountains, winter isn’t optional—it’s one of the reasons we love living here so much and is why we make clothing that encompasses the complete mountain lifestyle. Entering into the footwear category was a natural progression for the brand, and it has allowed us to leverage the knowledge we’ve gained from years of designing technically superior, high-performance mountain apparel,” said Stio CEO and Founder Stephen Sullivan.
The new collection includes the following styles for men and women: Colter Boot, Colter Mid, and Colter Low. For more product information, go here.
