Davidson’s announced that Wayne Tumlin has been promoted to president. Tumlin succeeds Bryan Tucker who will remain actively involved as chairman and CEO.
In his new role, Tumlin is responsible for guiding, managing and implementing its firearms and accessory wholesale distributor strategies and directing and overseeing the execution of the company’s day-to-day operations.
Tumlin has worked as Davidson’s senior vice president and general counsel since March of 2020. Although formally joining the company in 2020, Tumlin has been affiliated with Davidson’s since 2012 as its corporate legal counsel.
“I have had the pleasure of working directly with Wayne for many, many years addressing various projects, issues and opportunities for our company,” said Tucker. “His keen analytical ability, excellent communication skills, business experience and personality make Wayne a great choice to lead Davidson’s team.”

During his career, Tumlin has also served as outside general counsel to national and international closely-held businesses.
