A&M Manufacturing and StyleCraft Boats are moving to the former Marlow-Hunter facility in Alachua, FL.

Billy Chapman, the creator of the Floating Suite mobile lodge, and John Hemken, owner of A&M Manufacturing, are designing several models of StyleCraft Boats fiberglass hulled pontoon boats as part of the partnership.

The Marlow-Hunter facility, originally built as the home for Hunter Marine, is a 210,000-square-foot boat manufacturing facility that built 1400 plus sailboats per year at its peak with over 400 employees. Hemken credits David Marlow for giving him the opportunity to bring a boat builder back into the facility.

Marlow-Hunter has also transferred the current production of its 15-foot, 18-foot and 22-foot Day Sailor sailboat line to A&M Manufacturing. A&M will build these boats under the Hunter brand and with a long-term plan to build other “Hunters” in the future.

The transition began in early September with plans to be fully operational in Alachua, FL by the end of October.
